I’m a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason"

In 2010 I lost my job in the corporate world, as expected I was devastated.

But a different passion started to develop; I found myself watching a looooooot of cooking and baking shows on TV and decided to try some of the recipes. As time went by, friends and family began requesting me to bake cakes for their special occasions and cater at their small functions.

 

After receiving very positive feedback, a stint of freebies and ridiculous discounts, in 2012 I decided to turn my newly found passion into a business, and amazingly 6 years later, and as small as it may be, my business is striving.

 

I can only give all the credit and the Glory to the Almighty God.  As much as losing my job felt like a huge set back, I have gained so much more through that challenge.

 

Without formal culinary training, I work twice as hard to make sure my clients are happy with the end product, but I enjoy every minute of it because I’m doing what I really love and passionate about. Now, not only do i get some of the recipes and ideas from TV i now create my own, from trying new fillings for my cakes or discovering new spice combination for my cooking, i just love, love, looove what i do and i can only hope that, that love is being transfered into my work and being felt by the client.
