Specialty/Novelty cakes
All cakes are quoted per order; prices are based on Flavour, Size and design.
Orders are to be placed at least 2 weeks in advanced to avoid disappointment. A 50% deposit is required to secure your order, and the balance is due 3 days (3 working days) before collection/delivery. Orders with 1 week notice period require an immediate full payment. Orders with less then 5 days notice will not be considered.
Orders

To avoid disappointment when making an order give as much notice as possible. We can take orders with a 2 week notice where possible but have to refuse orders if we are already at full capacity
Payment

50% deposit up front & the Balance 3 working days before collection. Orders made less then a week in advance require full payment upfront (birthday and novelty cakes only). Three weeks notice of cancellation of order is required. Last minute cancellation will result in forfeiture of deposit.
Delivery

Collection preferable, cakes can be collected the evening before, but delivery can be arranged at an extra cost depending on the location of the event.

Delivery is R75, within a 10km radius and R6perKM thereafter.
Storage

Cakes should be stored in a cool dark place away from sunlight and damp conditions on a flat surface. Sponge cakes will keep for up to 5 days after pickup or delivery and fruitcake will last for months in cool conditions.
Loss or damage

Carolthecakelady accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the cake once the cake has been collected or delivered.
